The RoofPod is a clamshell-style rooftop tent with an aluminium frame, a solid, light wood base and canvas sides and top with a pvc cover. It is super easy to lift open with the aid of gas lift struts on either side. If you imagine opening the boot of your car, then you can imagine how light and easy it is to lift open.
Access to the tent is via a concertina fold-up ladder which you can store inside the tent or in the car. The ladder attaches to the frame of the tent when opened, ensuring stability whilst not touching the car.
The tent is made from high-quality ripstop canvas and is waterproof. It has three large openings, perfect for soaking up views, with midgy mesh windows on the outside to keep little critters out. When closed you zip the sides up for added dust and water protection for travelling.
Inside the tent is a comfortable 75mm high-density foam mattress with cover. You can store your bedding inside the tent when travelling, to save space in the car and for even easier camp set up.
The RoofPod’s lightweight design makes it easy to put on and take off, making it accessible to everyone. It has quick-release adjustable mounting brackets to secure it to the roof bars/racks of your car in minutes.
Integrated roof bars on top of the tent frame give you the added benefit of carrying accessories like surfboards, SUPs or whatever your fun thing of choice is, on top of the tent.
The convenience of quick set up and take down makes this the perfect tent for people who love to road trip and explore different sites and towns from day to day, surfers who want to chase great waves for a weekend, trail runners who want to spend time on the mountain rather than faffing with tent pegs, cyclists who want to hit the road as soon as they arrive at their destination. Even families who only want to set up one traditional tent and halve their set up/take down time for a weekend of fun.
We run production for both the Cozi and the Comfy every 2 weeks.
Estimated wait time from deposit is 2-4 weeks unless there is stock available as we always add extras to each production run.

Your RoofPod will be ready 2-4 weeks from deposit. You can either collect from us in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town or we can organise a courier for you at extra cost. Courier takes 2-3 days to all major destinations and is delivered to your door.
